Recently bought a 90 2 Stroke 5 HP with less than 10 hours on it. First time it started, it idled fine, ran fine and was put away for a drive up to South Carolina. On the trip apparantly the external fuel housing for a remote tank snapped off. For the time being, I placed a fitted screw in the tubing to completely shut off any chance of leaking. I replaced the plug, as well as the fuel filter. Sprayed carb cleaner into it, took the carb apart and cleaned it up. Once all of this was done, I have now run into the meat of my issue. Whenever I crank the engine on the internal tank, it will idle for around 5 seconds and then sputter out each time without fail, especially when I try and give it gas. It definately sounds like a gas issue. Is there any advice that you guys could give me? It would be greatly appreciated.
