1990 Johnson 15 hp

My Johnson 15 hp when running it high speeds acts like starving for gas, like you can hear its bogging down and will cut out a little not bad then go real good then slow back down.

Have you checked the high speed jet to see if it is restricted?

might also check the fuel pump may be starting to go and not keeping up at high speed

Check gas tank venting, and all fuel lines; they get hard with age and will suck air where they are clamped onto the barb fittings. Also, be sure the o rings on the two discconect fittings are good(replace them is an easy and cheap way to do this). The plastic top of the carb warps too, check it.

how does constantly squeezing the primer bulb betwen the tank and engine affect the running at wot?...
