Hi,I'm new to the forum.I have a V4 looper. I started my motor on the muffs. It ran a couple of minutes, then the warning horn sounded, I shut her down. It was just dribbling out of the pee hole, no sign of any water out of the upper holes dead center. Some water out of the center hub at the prop. The strange thing was that there was alot of water coming around where the lower unit meets the middle section. So I changed the water pump, and the housing. I connected up the lower unit, it did the same thing, ran a couple of minutes, then the warning horn sounded, I shut her down. Now I was wondering about the stats, so I took them out, just to try, it did the same thing. So I pulled the heads. I found the passages in the heads themselves all salted up.I removed all the salt. The passages around the cylinders were pretty clear.I put the heads back on and tried it again, the same thing, ran a few minutes and the horn sounded. I then dropped the lower unit again and hooked up a garden hose to the supply tube. You can hear the passages filling up with water, then after a minute or two water comes poring out the chamber where the supply tube is hooked up. Is it supposed to come out of this chamber? I thought it was supposed to come out the one over the backpresure relief holes. Again, no water was coming out of the pee hole. What is the valve under the throttle arm with a couple of hose going to it? Could this be clogged? I pulled the hose off the pee hole and poked a wire into it, it doesn't seemed clogged. Does any of this sound like a normal clog?
