1990 Four Winns 180 Candia

Hello all. I have acquired this boat for restoration. Overall it is in pretty good shape minus needing a paint job and there being some water in the oil..
I am normally a sailboat girl. This is my first deck boat. I need assistance. The color on the boat is burgundy. It will need sanding and painting. What brands of paint do you recommend? Also an off the wall question for any deck boat owners,,,, where is my anchor to see if I have one or need to replace it?

Welcome to iBoats! What info do you have from the PO on Maintenance and Storage? Are there any Soft Spots on the deck? Inspect very closely. How about down inside the ski locker and the Engine Compartment? What does the outside of the transom look like around the outdrive keyhole? She's almost 30 years old and boats of this vintage, unless meticulously cared for, usually have some water intrusion issues. Four Winns makes a quality boat, but...If not cared for properly almost any boat will have some issues below deck. Strongly advise some thorough probing of the transom, motor mounts and stringers.

welcome, wood has ya on track, i would check it out very well , also have fuel system checked most likely at that age minimum would be changing hoses , worst off needing a new tank but on boats that old usually hoses are way past shot .
