I have a 1990 Force 90 HP outboard on a Bayliner Capri. Pulled it out after 3 years of sitting. It started and runs fine, but for some reason wont stop (i've pulled the plugs or choked it to get it to stop so far). The kill switch has a lanyard that is supposed to be attached to the switch in order for the engine to start, but it starts without the switch engaged. I hard wired the wires leading into the switch to see if was bad, but this didn't kill the engine. Another odd thing is that the lights, radio, bilge pump all work without the key in the ignition. I thought this had to be the case in order for any of the accessories to be "hot". I'm not sure where to look next, so any suggestions would be great.
