Could someone tell me where the manual release valve is for the outboard tilt/trim. I have a leak in the hydraulics and I need to lift the engine up to transport it to the mechanic.
Try haveing someone lift while you hold the button.
Once you start messin with those releases they NEVER work right again.
There should be a screw on the end of the hyd bar.Or just loosen a couple of lines.J
when people say they have a leak it is usually the trim cover or the tilt band collar. The trim cover is NLA. The band collar is still available. If I was you .... then I would make sure the parts are available before taking it to a mechanic. Maybe your mechanic has a bunch of used engines to cannabilize? If not then your boat could end up sitting around for a long time.
