Looks to be a Prestolite pump. What would cause it to have that "bounce" effect when you are lowering it? Also I wanted to remove the lower valve system to remove it to have it rebuilt, (the system slowly bleeds down so I think it need a rebuild) It has 3 lines going into the side of it and the one line that attaches underneath. Does it drop right down after removing the lines and the 4 phillips head screws holding it on? thanks for any help.

high rpm valve body gearing combined with a too thin fluid. Try draining system and putting in 30W non detergent motor oil.

I agree on draining the system and rep-lacing the oil but my Force manual says to use 40W non-detergent oil.

We have it available at nearly all auto parts stores out here in Casper, WY. I can send you a case if your interested. You would just need to pay for the oil and shipping.

TIA.....?????????

we don't have it any here. even finding 30w can be difficult. sure would be nice to have some 40. I'll check tomorrow to see what would fit into a priority box.
