1990 Force 120 tach

With the motor ideling at about 700 rpm the tach regesters OK but when I go twards full speed tach meter goes all the way BACK to zero. Everything els works fine. Help.

Look for loose connections at the Tach. Sounds like either a vibration problem or a bad Tach. Also, what are your volts reading at full speed??
