Hey Guys,
Got a 1990 Evinrude XP 150 V6 with a spark plug issue. 3 out of the 6 cylinder's spark plugs don't spark after sitting for more than 5 days. It makes it very difficult to start, but when I get it warm, they fire up great! I did some testing and switched around the power delivery to the not working ignition coil, and when I ran some power through it, they then started to work. Is it the ignition coils or maybe the spark plug cables? I'm praying its not the power pack. Let me know what you think! Thanks

Well---- 12 volts from the battery is not used to make spark on this motor.-----I would first get the battery inspected / load tested.----And I would take the starter apart for inspection / ohm test on armature.-----These steps cost no money and easy to do.-----Do a compression test for future reference.---Post the numbers here.

Thank you so much. Turns out it was the ignition coil. I ordered a compression kit to do some compression tests.
