I'll be sure to triple check the high speeds before reinstalling, that seems to be a common issue. Thanks. Now that you mention it, I havent checked the float drop.i had bogging recently, and had at least one clogged high speed jet, cleaned and clear, now good throttle, three other adjustments i made was float level gauge to set correctly( $20 tool), float drop set with in range(1 1/18 to 1 5/8), and tweaked the spring clip that holds the float needle to the float arm, no gap, tight against float arm, this is on a 84" 70 hp
No change when pumping the primer bulb. VRO was just bypassed when I bought it, I have since replaced with a non-VRO pump. I have tried going further on the low speeds, once you get beyond 3 turns on mine it stalls. What happens when you pump the ball on the fuel line? Is the VRO bypassed or removed completely? Did you try going more on the low speed screws? My 70 likes 4.25 turns out.
I'm wondering what the "intermediate orifice" on the front of the carb is responsible for. As I understand, it draws air into the emulsion tube in order to atomize the fuel going into the venturi, is this correct?
