Looking at maybe purchasing a 90 Astro Quickfire 19 fish/ski boat. This boat would be used 100% of the time for bass fishing. Would this make a good bass boat for a first time owner? I can't really find anything about them since they stopped making them. Whats a good price to pay I believe it has a bad engine on it so taking that into affect.

These are a heavy boat, glass winsheilds which are fine to keep you dry and the wind out of your face, but are very breakable. On the other hand, they are repairable unlike the plexiglas ones.

Normally they dont have as much storage space as a real Bass boat and IMHO, having had several Bass Boats, you need all you can get. You will need a minimum of 150 HP, and 175-200 would be better.

If its just going to be a fishing boat, I vote to keep looking. Good choice for a family fish ski boat though.

Ok Thanks for the info. Just looking for the best bang for the buck as I really want a decent fishing boat but am kind of on a budget.
