Just bought this boat. Took it out on the lake and it was running fine, after about 2 miles the propeller quit turning but the motor keep going, I then put it in nuetral and back to drive, it then seems to be slipping. after about 45 minutes with the engine off it goes good for another 2 miles or so and quits again. the quy that owned the boat said he just changed the gear oil.

Welcome to iboats, MT.
It sounds like your prop needs to be rehubbed.
To check this, paint a line of enamel or nail polish from the prop nut outward to one of the blades. Let dry. Take it out until the symptom returns. Check the paint line. If it broke and is no longer lined-up, the hub has spun-out. About 30 buks to have it rehubbed at a prop shop.
These motors cannot handle "hole shots" at all. Acctually, that's a good thing, as it gives a little better protection to the gears in the lower unit.
But once you get it rehubbed, just remember to give it throttle gradually, and it'll last forever (unless you hit something).
