ok i took carbs off motor ,cleaned and reinstalled.

replaced fuel pump due to father-in-law breaking old one.

replaced cover on primer system that the 2 hoses that go to carbs that i screwed up.

Installed new water pump.

Started engine on muffs and idled great.

If i get it to lake and it bogs down and dies when throttle is pushed down what would be my next step in finding my problem????

Also where should the red valve be set on the primer system??? I set it like it looked to be set in the manual ,pointed end facing about 11 o'clock after installed.

Also i have a plastic removable gas tank, should the vent valve be open or closed while running engine?

You have to vent your tank when running, otherwise it is like sucking fuel from a vaccuum.

The normal operating position is to have that red lever positioned over top of the solenoid and aimed at the other end of the solenoid, gently turned to its stop.

If carb is clean, do a link n sync. Check to see if the timer base (starboard side, under the edge of the flywheel, linked to the throttle lever) moves smoothly without sticking when you advance the throttle.

Take the airbox cover off & observe whether the throttle plates are parallel.

Also, the timer base should start it's travel *before* the throttle plates start to open, else she'll fall flat when you try to accelerate.

so does that mean on the primer system lever need to face toward the fat end (where wires come out)of solenoid or cover end where the hoses attach ?,(also the red lever is on hose end).
