I have had this 14' seanymph since 2002 and until 2006 the boat was fished hard in the backwaters of Lockwoodfolly river , North Carolina. The boat sat unsused in the storage yard where my dad lives in Lockwoodfolly until march of 2010.
On this trip I took my girlfriend to the beach for the first time. My dad asked me what I was going to do with the boat and I told him I was mostly likely going to get rid of it because all the fishing that I was doing was offshore. My girlfriend than said "why don't you restore it and I will help". Then when it's done we can go fishing together. Now who can argue with that!
The photo's attached are from when we started in March of 2010.

Welcome to iboats.

You are doing a good job..... add a coat of gluvit to the seams and rivets and you will be leak free for many more years.

Just remember do not be tempted to use any pressure treated wood since it corrodes the aluminum.

Keep going with the updates.

After getting all the old foam out and cleaning up the bottom of the hull. It was time to deal with this mess.

I removed all the old wire and switches. Then removed the top of the flotation boxes by drilling out the rivits. I used the old tin as templates to make new top pieces. I also removed wood bow piece to use as template.

After getting that done no more work took place on the boat until late summer because. We were to busy chasing these.

Nice fish shots man!:D

Hey, if it's cool with you I'd like to tag along your boat rebuild. That Sea Nymph and a ton of structure down there, I'm sure she is a solid rig.

Cheers:)

Hi guys been a while since I've posted been real busy over the last year. Thought I post some pictures on 1 of the Five projects that I've been working over the last year. The SeaNymph is about done at this point. I actually ended up giving this boat to my brother inlaw because most of my fisihing is done offshore these days. If I do go fishing inshore I usually go with others or I have access to a 24 Carolina skiff where I can take the whole family. Don't worry I'm not boatless at this time far from it!

Picked up the 25 Johnson outboard motor 350.00. Had a 9.9 but it is not enough motor for two people and the also when the tide gets to ripping. Almost got into trouble in the inlet one day, almost didn't have enough throttle to get out of the current. Boat has all new wiring, switches, light, fuel tank, Paitned the inside,Nautolex flooring.
