1989 Yamaha 90 hp

I have a 1989 90 hp yamaha. Was recently rebuilt,ran perfect for last 6 months. Even checked compression last week 120 on all 3 cylinders. Couldnt ask for a better running engine. Has oil tank ,been using right amount of oil. No problems whatsoever. Took out this morning and it blew a hole in block at #1 cylinder. Got me puzzled. But i need a new powerhead. IS Iboats a good choice in getting another powerhead. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
