Thanks for the info. The engine in question is hitting around 6300. Bad prop. I hope we don't hurt the engine because of it. Trying to get it changed out.
As long as the T-stats are good and timming is right, with a healthy engine and good oil and good fuel, 6300 won't kill it by any means, but not knowing those variables, I'd stay under 6k.
Thanks.... will pass it along. The prop has been filed down to an unbelievable shape. Like weird teeth. Probably banged up on oyster bars and the previous owner was too cheap to swap it out.
