1989 Mercury 90hp direct oil injection

I'm going to bypass the direct oil injection system, it's injecting too much oil, I will now be premixing into the gas tank. Question though, will the existing inline fuel filter work? I was thinking, since the oil will be going thru the filter, it might limit the flow. Thoughts? Thanks

A normal fuel filter will not restrict a 50::1 oil/gasoiline mix
