Hello all new to the forum here, I use tinboats frequently and was referred to you folks for a question I have in selecting a new tachometer to match up to my engine. I understand that I need to know how many "poles" my stator contains in order to get a replacement tachometer. I know that the stator itself has 3 "nubs" or field coils however I am a little lost as to how many poles it actually contains or how many pulses it generates. Ive gone over my seloc repair manual and I cant see anywhere that it mentions the number of magnets inside the flywheel either. so if someone can better help me understand this I would greatly appreciate it!
