1989 Mariner Impeller

I need to install a new impeller in my 1989 25hp Mariner outboard and need some tips on how to do so. There are four bolts that hold the LU on but I'm unlear as to what gear the motor needs to be in and if there is anything tricky I should look out for. Any help would be appreciated. MY service manual is on order and I really don't want to wait until I get it to change it. Thanks

The motor needs to be in forward if yours is an E-Z shift.<br /><br />Since this the first time that your are attempting to do this, i suggest that waiting for the manual to arrive prior to starting the job would be most prudent. <br /><br />BTW Welcome to iboats
