I have a 1989 ragin cajun bass boat with a 1989 Johnson v-4 110 hp outboard engine. I was attempting to hook up the trim guage when I crossed two wires and got a spark. Now I can only get the engine to crank with the ignition key only when my nav lights are switched on. Once the nav lights are switched off I get no amp reading and no response from the ignition key. I didnt find any blown fuses. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi dennya, there is a fuse located on the left side of the powerhead contained in a orange(maybe black) looking connector, it has a single red-purple wire in one end and a single red wire in the other end that comes of the starter solenoid, I suspect that may be blown, its a short fuse around 20amps from memory.
