Where do the fuel lines come and go on this three-port fuel pump. I'm doing the VRO delete and the fuel pump has three fittings, where do they go. I used the directions otte posted, there were no pictures for the fuel pump connections. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to blow thru the fuel ports in one direction only due to the check valves. The port that allows air in obviously means fuel in as well. The pulse port will be sealed.

The proper fuel pump for this is mounted directly over the PRESSURE pulse port on the side of the top cylinder.----Only uses 2 hoses.----Fuel in and fuel out.-----Remove pulse limiter and plug that port !

Thanks racerone, The two port fuel pumps are hard to find and pricey three port pumps are available all day long and they can be converted to two port, carefully drill out the port hole in the back of the fuel pump and cap off the nipple that would go to the pulse limiter. By the way I don't know why they call it a pulse limiter it has nothing in it and is just a straight through hole. But thanks for your response.

????-----The job of the pulse limiter is to protect the VRO pump housing from PRESSURE spikes !!!----It is a " flow fuse " and it closes when it sees a large volume of air coming at it.---It has a reed valve inside it.-----Therefor they called it a PULSE LIMITER !

Funny, I went online and I couldn't find any cheap stock OEM 3 port fuel pumps....just aftermarket. Easy to be tempted by the cheap aftermarket parts but I just can't do it.

There is no need to buy any new fuel pumps here.-----They are so simple and reliable but much misunderstood in today's world.-----A new diaphragm is usually what I do.----Just did that on 2 little square pumps , found on smaller Johnson / Evinrudes.

I bought the pump at my local OMC dealer as I don't tend to buy cheap Chinesium. Their MasterTech there showed me how to convert it, no big deal. Also bought new water pump and thermostat all OMC. You get what you pay for !
