1989 Imperial rotten deck and stringers....Questions about repair

1989 Imperial removed rotten deck . I am not sure how far I need to go to repair boat. The deck is rotten under both the front and back of boat. Should the cap come off to expose the whole deck ?

Yes you should plan on removing the cap, how else will you replace the transom too?

I suspect it'll need to be replaced as well.
