1989 force 85 hp outboard

I need to replace all pistons in my 85 hp 1989 force I believe I have all the bolts out to seperate the halves but it won't seperate. Should it be real difficult to seperate the two halves ? I can see it has dowel pins but I can't believe it should be this hard to come apart. Is there any hidden bolts I can't see ?

Tap out the dowel pins and make sure you have all the bolts removed from the end caps...

You might not be aware, but there is a Force/Chrysler section of this board for your engine. This section is for Mercury and Mariner outboards
