My fuel pump housing is warped, as soon as I pump the bulb a fine stream of fuel sprays out. The pumps are no longer available, I bought and replaced the gaskets and diaphragm, to no avail. I am wondering if I can use an external vacuum diaphragm fuel pump to replace it. If so, where do I get the vacuum signal? I would prefer not to screw a barb into the right side of the block, where the original pump was mounted.

These pump work with a PRESSURE pulse.---Perhaps refinish the pump housing.----Piece of glass and some 220 grit paper.---Might do the trick.

I believe that this one will fit. It's actually from a 40HP. Looks like maybe these motors all used the same pump. It has 4 screws that attach it to the by-pass cover. Might want to verify it before you buy it though.

PUMP
On mine the back of the cover mates to the block and has 2 holes. It only has 2 hose barbs, fuel in and fuel out. The pumping comes from the ports where it bolts to the engine block

The pump pnwboat refer to will fit your engine but you have to remove the adapter spacer #4 in the schematic, part number F658836.
The pump body, the diaphragm and gasket is the same for both the 35Hp and 40Hp.

BTW the pump body, diaphragm and gasket are the same for a lot of Chrysler/Force engines until they started to use the Mercury style square pump.

If possible post a pic with your request.
This fuel pump should fit motors from 1980 to 1992
The smaller motors have a different pump style, so post a pic if possible and have a ruler next to the pump.
I might have an old one??

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you all. The boat is not stored at my house. @jerryjerry05 it seems like the spacer has a bad spot on the side that faces the front of the boat.
