The motor fires up OK when choked, but it won't keep running. If I hit the choke every few seconds I can keep it running indefinitely, but as soon as I stop choking it dies. It kinda of feels like its starved for fuel, so I'm suspecting the fuel pump. Fuel filter, fuel lines, o-rings all seem to be OK. Its got the VRO pump with the external oil mixing enabled. Wondering if it is worth getting a fuel pump repair kit. I've got pretty limited experience working on outboards, so any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tip and the part link. I'll give that a try.

I'm having the same problem. I cleaned and rebuilt all carbs....i will say they were pretty dirty. Have everything back together and it's still doing the same thing. I'm lost and almost ready to put a bullet in the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
