I guess I had a senior moment when I removed the rectifier.
Can someone tell me which red wire I connect to on the terminal strip (position 4 or 5) when I replace it. There are two red wires on the strip.
Can you tell me where they go to inside the engine ?

Hi, Just sold my 1995 88spl and loved it, great motor. I dont believe that rectifier changed

I'm looking at my omc manual. On the Term block, there is a solid red wire at #4 your rectifier red goes there, and a Red with a black strip (or dashes) at Term #5. Yellow wires go to #1 and #2 (if the new one happens to be yellow with grey strip-it goes to #2).

Attached is a scan from the manual I have, hope it helps..Be sure to see the block in the diagram particular to the 88.
