Hello All,
I have a 1989 Force 85 hp that is getting know fire to the plugs. I had a float on one of the carbs repaired and now there is know fire to the plugs. The motor had been cranking fine until I had the carb float fixed. Anyone got any idea what may be going on.

Thanks,
Chuck

Hello Mike86,
The switch seems to check out fine when it is disconnected. If it is connected it does not seem to work. When I check the two wires that connect to the switch they show continuity, is that correct or not. Thanks for your reply. There is a lot I do not understand on how a boat motor works.

Thanks,
Chuck

do spark test on each cylender,if no spark present trace killswitch leads to cd coils and disconnect one/one lead at cd only try to start. if you dont have repair manual it is great investment lots of help with these kind of problems. seloc is good manual.good luck.

Well I appreciate the help from you all. I really do not know what I did , but I got the engine to crank. Plan on taking it for a test run tomorrow. Also got lower unit serviced. Again thanks to all.
