1988 Mercruiser 4.3L Wiring Question

I have a 1988 Searay with a GM 4.3L v6 which I just replaced. I have one wire that I didn't mark and I am hoping someone can help.

The wire is a white with spiral blue stripe. It comes out of the wire loom that connects to the large connector on top of the engine. Based on where it comes out of the loom it looks like it would reach the coil of the distributor?? Anyone have any idea where this Wire connects ?

There is no white with blue striped wires. Peal back some of the harness tape and see if it'a actually tan with a blue stripe.

The only white wire in the harness has a green stripe (from the Merc service manual). That runs between connector and one side of the shift interrupt switch.

Can you post a photograph?
