I've got a 90 H.P. Mariner outboard. Last weekend I hadit out trolling and after half the day the battery didn't have enough to restart the motor. My question is where is the recharging system on this motor? I can start it and get nothing back to the battery. Is this something I can change myself or take it in? I am a mechanic but not on outboards.

This is something you can fix on yer own with a multimeter and the shop manual.
It is prbably the regulator. I think it is located on the left side.Look for a little cube, with 4 wires comming out of it. I don't have the manual on your engine, but these are generally the first thing to fail in the charging circuit.

------------------
Time to change my tagline

Thanks for your help. I'll grab a manual locally and go after it.
