Hey guys,
I have the classic 'burned red wire' on the idle stabilizer module on this guy and need to remove it before I get hit in the back of the head with a rod cap, and I'd like to be able to reference the factory manual for the link and sync prodcedure..

I cannot for the life of me find a factory service manual on ebay, it's like they no longer exist.

Serial number is 0B250842. Does anyone know where I can find one?

that manual will do... they are scarce as hen's teeth... tha link n sync on tha carbureted 2.0, 2.4, 2.5's is basically tha same on all of 'em so justa 'bout any of 'em will do... timin' is also real close ta same with exception of max.. yours can be around 20 ta 22* max....

JAN.. on primary (idle) timing tha manual numbers mean nothing except to get it to run at idle.. to get proper idle timing you need to be in tha water, in gear and set idle timing to rpm and/or speed that makes you and your motor happy

The Primary Timing numbers have nothing to do with Idling, though if the linkage is messed up enough the engine may not idle. That Primary Timing Spec is simply the point where the Carb is just about to start opening, from fully closed. Idle Speed is determined by the timing, but there is no spec for it, as it will vary as per Load on the Engine. A change in Propeller Pitch will affect that load and the idle speed will need readjustment
