Can anyone please furnish this information. I need a set of controls (side mount) for this engine. Which ones are compatible, will power pilot work. Are the cables the same on all OMC controls.Thanks.

Thanks MCM, Been watching that one. Do you know if the old Power Pilots will work on this engine?

Re: 1988 Evinrude 110 HP

w2much, not off hand, but as I understand it anything made for a 73 and newer, 40hp & greater should work.

as long as it has the correct red plug on the wiring harness. The diff. being an extra wire for t&t

I'm only seeing 2 models of side mounts available for '73 & newer, not sure what name they put on them.

Hope that helps,
Mike

Re: 1988 Evinrude 110 HP

w2much,

I did a reference search on Ishopmarine, the control box on my '75 50hp has the identicle p/n as the one used for your motor with the exception that mine doesn't power T&T

Mine is labeled OMC command center and it looks just like the ones labeled power pilot.

New OEM #s are 177224 w/o T&T & 177225 W/ T&T.

The dif. in labels probably has more to do with marketing than anything else.

Mike ;)

Re: 1988 Evinrude 110 HP

MCM, My hero. Thank You. Appreciate your time and sharing. Have posted this topic previously to no avail. T/T no problem, I can hook it up with a seperate harness set up. Power Pilots and Command Center controls are less expensive and thus more affordable for me as I plan to buy used ones. Thanks a million. Hope to see you on the water (especially if I break down.)
