I have been having trouble with starting. I thought related to flooding, but through testing it appears that the left side cylinders do not have the spark that the right side has. After the motor starts, I use the timing light only as an indication of spark. I move the clamp to each plug wire and notice that the right side has a consistent spark, and the left side both cylinders is very erratic. I swapped wires, coils, and plugs from left to right and still get the same erratic spark on the left. The left spark plugs are covered with wet gas mixture, where the rights are light gray as normal. After the motor warms abit, the spark on the left becomes more normal.

According to my Clymers manual, prior years had two power packs and then they went to one as on my motor, which makes me think after combining them into one unit, the two lefts are still tied together. I am ready to replace the power pack but want second opinions.
