hi, ok so if one of my cylinder isn't working on my 1988 evinrude 8 hp....how much would it cost for me to fix it? is it worth fixing it?

i really have no clue....the motor starts fine with one pull...the only problem that i know is that when i screeze the throttle the motor goes like 2 to 3 mph on a 12 ft aluminum...

You're going to have to do some checking, spark and compression to start.

ok so how much would it cost me to fix if it's because of compression...is it worth it or should i just buy a new motor....thnks

Anywhere between $3.00 to $300.00 0r even more. We will need more info in order to help you with your question. A 1988 is really not that old for a small outboard. Unless bad piston/s or even ring/s with surmountable cylinder damage, you should be way under the price of new. Can you elaborate more on the issue you are having? Post back.
