Bought this rig in 1993 with twin 1987 1.6L SeaDrives on it. It is overbuilt if anything. The sides of the console are 1 1/4" thick to give you an idea - 1/4" glass, 3/4" ply & 1/4" glass.<br /><br />It is a dry boat and is as comfortable in nasty water as any I've been in. It is a great boat for large bays and off shore boating.<br /><br />I did have to replace the transom about 5 years ago due to improper or inadequate sealing of the engines when they were installed.
