1988 165hp Fuel Pump

I have a fuel pump on a 165hp Mercruiser that looks like it's on the engine upside-down. The flanges are opposite, could it be a fuel pump off another engine? In pics of other fuel pumps, they are upside-down compared to how this one is mounted.
I would appreciated any input, please.

If I turn it over what about the push rod ?

They can be either way bowl up or down. Depends on the pump.
