Bought this boat almost a year ago nice boat the only issue is the floor is soft, what can be a quick repair for this, i was thinking on use mat on the floor and use some fiberglass to make it hard again.

honestly if floor is soft stringers ,transom are prob shot on a 87, think of safety best to decap replace stringers transom and floor if not your life may depend on it.
mine was a 87 wellcraft and there was nothing left under the floor.

Pull up the floor and see what is under there. Post some pictures if you can. If everything below deck is solid (and dry) as you say, then you can just put down a new floor and glass it in.

If not . . .

How did you go about determining that the stringers and transom were rock solid? I thought this too on my Century until I learned the only positive method to determine this was to drill into them and look at the shavings. When I did, all I had was black mush. Ended up replacing floor, stringers and transom.

not to be a negative nancy, but knowing how these boats were built I would be amazed you didn't have stringer rot, it would actually be a miracle since stringers weren't encompassed 100 % so when you got floor rot it migrated right into stringers at the places where stringers met up.
