That is the model and serial # off your engine. You have a 1987 OMC Cobra with a 2.3 ltr engine, this has nothing to do with the boat itself but good to know if you need to order parts for the engine or drive. If you need the hull # it's normally on the right (starboard) side of the transom on the outside.
