hey everyone im going down to my lake house to winterize my boat and make a few repairs to dock today ive never winterized my 1987 3.0 mercruiser yet . i was wondering what it consist of i no to take all the drain plugs from exhaust/intake manifold and any plugs from the block itself but is there anything else i should do . i dont have money to spend on materials at the moment but dont want it to freeze. recently my (idiot ) inlaw left drain plug in it and water filled up back of the boat over the just over the starter . so i drained it all out changed oil and dried everything off after i left the lake that nite i realized i didnt check trim pump to see if water had gotten in there so i will be checking that and im sure i will probably have to check bellows for water even though, i did look back there and move them around to see if they sounded hollow or not didnt seem to have water in them but rather be safe than sorry . anybody have any suggestions ??
