Oily black is (usually) piston rings or valve guides. Back to what I said (and others have re-iterated) compression test, leakdown test, put a vacuum gauge on the engine....

Do your diagnosis and get as much information about what's going on inside the engine before you start tearing it apart and just throwing parts at it.

As already pointed out look down the carb to see if it,s dripping. This could be a float height problem (they are kinda funny on the float height). Also low compression along with the ignition being to retarded will make a quadrojet drip and run over rich.

hello guys a little upgrade here, did a compression test and I have all the cylinders 145-150. Not leaks found, any other advice.
