I have this Mercury Engine that is has a stead beep that I'm not sure what is causing the problem. When I ran the engine I disconnected the Blue and White striped Wire the steady beep was still there. I then disconnected the Tan with Dark Blue striped then the steady beep went away. Would this be the Oil switch or maybe the Oil tank? The oil tank is feeding oil to the engine.

The Tan/Blue goes to your sensor switches. If anyone of them close this turns the beeper on. I see what looks like a oil tank (oil injection) and it would also go to it. If oil switch thinks the tank is low it will close. Unplug it

I'm a novice at this. Can you tell me how would I unplug the oil tank if that is the issue?

It will have wires coming out somewhere, most likely on the bottom. The wires go to a float switch inside the tank. One of the wires should connect to the Tan/Blue and the other goes to ground. Unplug or disconnect either will stop the beep "IF" this is what's causing it to sound

Same thing happened with my 1994 merc 115 it was the tank on the side of the motor for the 2 cycle for the oil injection for some odd reason it thought it had no oil in it...would run fine but just constant beep the whole time..

I noticed there is no water coming out of the pee hole as well. I verified there is no debris or anything, all clear. I ordered a water module hoping that will fix it. The beep does stay on when I unplug the tan wire from the tank that connects to the blue wire.

Step #1 is to install a new water pump impeller.-----Look at the warning horn.----Does it have an electronic circuit?----If so , the horn itself might be defective.
