1987 force 50 stator

does anyone know where to get a force 50 stator 1987 serial # 1098. ive been told that a model #176-3095 will work but i noticed it has like double the coils around it. the one i have seems to have 8 or so coils.one brown, one white, one black, and two red wires. this is the first boat i own so i am limited to the knowledge. i also saw somewhere that this part is not available. i really hope this isnt so. can someone help?

The Mercury part number is 300-888793 $394

There are no aftermarket parts available, but some places will rebuild yours for about $275 plus tax and shipping.
