Hi,<br /><br />If the upper and lower driveshaft seals have been replaced and the gear oil screws have seals on them, hwere else can water be getting in at, through the prop shaft? Thanks.
Prop shaft is one of the most common places for leaks. Fishing line gets tangled up in there and is nasty to seals. If you replace it also check the prop shaft where it comes in contact with the seal. It might be worn and seal will not work correctly. Other places are the shift shaft seal and the pivot screw gasket.
This motor hung on davits since new in the Florida sun and only has about 15 hours on it. I couldn't find any fishing line but would guess the seals rotted out. Everything else was. Thanks.
