I faith with them one week and I'm looking everywhere and I have no more idea what I supposed to do to separate this block.
Guys please help me.

there maybe 1 more bolt to undo.
look very close in middle of front or back of engine ..
could be the one bolt needs to come undone.
make sure you have a good lift as this is very heavy

I have an 89 bubble back and I'm pretty sure there are 13 bolts total to remove power head. I'll check when I get home later and post it.

Hi
Thank you so much guys for fast help.

Phillnjack2 yes you right I go to tie engine to big step ladder.
I can't find any bolt more on back to engine. Maybe I have to remove first intake manifold but also I remove bolt around and can't move out. I think I must remove first carburetors after manifold.

If is 13 bolts so maybe I unscrewed every one but please tell me if you know that I'm sure the bolts are the one what I show on the picture ?

model identification 1 small file.jpgThe engine can't be newer than 88, with the dual power packs. The cowling badging indicates it may be from and 85, with the single "175" applique on the back of the cover. Starting in 1986 and later, there were two appliques on the back of the cover, the "175" and "V6". The 87 and 88 models went to dark blue metallic paint. The engine can't be an 85 175, since those were flatback engines and yours has the high perf bubble back arrangement. It is very possible that it is a 235, but with 175 badging on the cowling. Probably best to have a look at the casting plug on the top of the engine and check for a model and serial number: see attached. You may need to attach a wheel puller to the flywheel and completely lift the engine to get the weight of the powerhead off the midsection.

I took mine all the way apart sitting right there where it would be lighter to pick up. After I took the heads, intake, starter, flywheel, and the rest of the small things off I was able to lift right off. I'd take everything off then try to give it alittle wingle and see whats holding then.

Re: 1987 Evinrude V6 175hp block remove problem please help

It was 8 bolts, and 5 nuts to pull mine off. I put a flywheel puller on flywheel and threaded an eyebolt thru middle with a nut on the bottom or under wheel for " piece of mind" and used a buddy's tractor with a chain to lift off.
Just be very easy!
Mine is an 89 175 and I have one power pack. If that helps any for part hunting.

On Saturday I start again faith with him : ) . First I remove carburetors , intake manifold so I will see more.

I find on internet exhaust manifold picture for check the bolts holes , and I see two holes are inside exhaust hosing. It confuse me where I supposed to separate motor . Only block or together with exhaust manifold adapter (point A or point B)

Looks like you have some pictures mixed up. Different adapters. The first picture appears to be a V4 exhaust adapter. I think there is a thermostat housing at the back of the adapter-indicating that it is a V4 engine adapter. The V6 engine thermostats are on each head. Apples and oranges.

Re: 1987 Evinrude V6 175hp block remove problem please help

Hi
I did it !
Yes guys you had right, it was only 13 bolts but problem what cause everything was in very strong glue gaskets between parts.
I lifted block on crane ladder and heated up with plumbing torch around place of bolts also I hit many times with plastic homer, than the block slowly unglued and lower part come out . The same was with removal intake manifold.
So guys I'm so happy because I was afraid to damage the parts.
