1987 Doral Cavalier. Fresh water system question(problem)

I just got this boat and love it. Though there is a leak in the water system that I cant find. When I fill the fresh water tank it soaks the aft cabin. Looks like i may need to take apart the aft cabin to find the leak. Does anyone know where the water tank is and how to access it??

Nice looking boat Carl. Where do you keep it? My water tank is located on the starboard side aft of the aft cabin. You can see it when you open the starboard floor hatch on the back deck.

Thanks JFB, I keep it in Port Perry. I think the tanks are located in diferent areas. Yours is a 89 mines a 87. The tank you are discribing in my boat is the holding tank. Do you know anyone that may have a scematic or layout. looks like it may be very dificult to access. I believe it is a burst pipe.

yeah actually, mine came with all the systems drawings, huge advantage to buying from the original owner. Is yours the boat that was for sale at West Shore Marina? Thought it looked familiar. I'm at the Port Perry Yacht Club in Seagrave, we're neighbours. Anyway, as to the water tank, what if you followed the hose from where you fill the tank (starboard side of transom)

I did find the tank. Had to stick a camera up and around the starboard side beside aft cabin. It is in front of the holding tank but still looking like major surgery to find the leak. I did not know there was a club in sea grave called pp yacht club. So that would be north of west shore I guess. I will check that out. Small world! Look me up you are around west shore.

Heh, yeah, it's kind of hidden but pretty much directly across the lake from Goreskis and slightly to the north, quite a long channel going in but if you happen by, you'll see the makers, you either go in slow with your outdrive up
or up on plane, there's some shallow spots lol
