1987 150 Merc, (Timing)?

So, how much overall performance would you gain if you found that your top end timing was off by 5 degrees retarded? <br /><br />I havnt had the boat in the water yet.

Well, they already retard the timing 2 degrees after a rebuild. So my guess is that 5 degrees will not effect the performance THAT much. But I'm sure Laddies or Clams will know better. <br /><br />You'll probably gain ~100 RPMs maybe
