1986 wellcraft scarab sports boat hull indentification number

I have a 1986 30 ft wellcraft scarab sport boat. I got it from someone who was inexperience in boat repairs which while sanding the boat he not knowingly sand off the hin number ( hull identification number) I was told that it has a secondary hin number located somewhere on the hull but I dont know where and I need this in order to get the boat register. Can anybody help me with this?

"The HIN must also be marked in a second location on the hull, that is either beneath a fitting or an item of hardware or that is on the interior of the vessel and unexposed." Well, that's what the law says, and is really no help unless you enjoy chasing wild geeses :joyous:. Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Did you get the old registration or title from the former owner,..??

If so, take the numbers off the paperwork, 'n stamp 'em back into the hull where they belong,....

If ya bought the hull, Without paperwork,...
Ya probably bought a Planter, 'n not a boat,....

I've stripped 'n junked alota ole hulls, 'n rarely ever find a second hin number,....
