I own a 1986 Four Winns 170 Horizon with a 4.3 OMC. Tonight I noticed the boat starting to run rough. I was heading back from some fun on the lake. I had the boat running WOT and noticed that the speed began to drop. I backed off the throttle. The boat still had normal oil pressure and water temperature. The boat ran very rough after this. I have not changed the points in a couple of years, and I believe this to be the issue. Does anyone have any other ideas what it may be. The drive shifted effortlessly, so I believe that has nothing to do with it.
