Took off the fuel filter and cut it open. It looked pretty good a few little dark specs in the bottom but the screen inside was clear and looked good.

I couldn't get a very good picture but the goop inside the line is the lining thats in side the fuel line . It looks like it has a inner plastic lining in the fuel line. When I cut the plugged up part off and pushed the fitting back in the line the inner liner just bunched up inside the line and plugged it up again. It looks to me like the marina put 5/16 line on 3/8 fittings
Somehow that doesn't shock me. Some Neanderthal just forcing something cause it is too tight.

5/16 will run a 115 and probably a similar 125. 3/8 on larger engines. With what you said and the history of the interconnecting fuel line and bulb your fuel filter should be full of particles. Change it and cut the old one open.

took off the old fuel filter and it looked good a few small spec in the bottom but the screen was clear and was not restricting fuel flow. I'll put on the new fuel filter and new fuel hose tomorrow and prob pull the pickup tube and check the strainer.

Well finally got the new fuel line on and got a chance to take the boat to the lake and it ran like new. Did great, the old fuel line after 11 years had deteriorated on the inside and was plugging up the fuel line. Thanks for all the feedback lotsa help. Everybody on this forum is always helpful and its much appreciated.
