Hello all. I've been having trouble recently with my old mercury and wondering if anyone could save me some trouble figuring out what's up with it.
The Problem:
When giving the motor anything more then half throttle it can't hold its rpms or speed.
With the throttle is wide open (or close to wide open) the engine acts like it's being pulled back and forth, not an extreme drop in rpms but a drop none the less.
All of this is non-exsistant when ran in a barrel of water off shore.
Solutions so far:
Cleaned Carb- no change
Clean fuel pump- no change
Replaced gas line and tank- taking for test drive tonight
I'm just getting sick of pouring money in to items that are not the problem! Anybody have a good idea what is going on here?
