1986 mariner 115 i-6

I am having problems with my motor. When I put it in gear in the water and give it gas it just stalls out but idle fine if u have any solutions will be greatly appreciated

Sounds like dirty carbs or mis-adjusted idle mixture. Have you cleaned the carbs recently? Did this just start happening?
